Every Nigerian should get to eat like this
Why we’re here
Ask anyone who’s looked for African food in this country and you’ll hear the same thing. You can find it. You just can’t count on it. One week it’s exactly right. The next the portion is smaller, the flavour’s been softened for no good reason, and nobody looks up when you walk in.
That gap is why Dee’s exists.
We cook Nigerian food the way it’s actually made. Not adjusted, not simplified, not made polite. Jollof with the smoke still in it. Soups that took the time they were supposed to take. Swallow that arrives hot. And we do it at a price a student, a family and a nurse coming off shift can all afford, because food this good shouldn’t be a special occasion.
Who is behind this
Meet Dee
African food in this country is easy to find and hard to count on. Dee's exists to fix that. Nigerian recipes cooked the way they're actually made, generous portions, prices that work for everyone, and a welcome you'll come back for.
Our conduct
What we stand for
-
Portions that mean something.
You should leave full. Mains run £15 to £30, and nobody's ever gone home hungry.
-
Cooked the way it's meant to be.
No shortcuts, no substitutes. Every dish is made from scratch, the way it's done back home.
-
Treated like a guest.
Fast, warm, no attitude. We'd rather you come back than come once.
-
Everyone's welcome at our table.
Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, you're family the moment you sit down.
Private hire
Ordering for a crowd
Birthdays, naming ceremonies, church events, work dos. We cater from 20 people, and the restaurant and lounge are available for private hire for up to 90 guests. From £22 per head.
Our lounge
Stay for a while
Warm light, low music, and a room that fills up once the plates come away. Chapman, palm wine, cold beer and cocktails behind the bar, with juices and soft drinks for everyone else. At its best on a Friday, when the music goes on at eight and nobody rushes home.
